ZRCS AT SOUTHERN AFRICA PARTNERSHIP OF RED CROSS SOCIETIES (SAPRC) MEETING IN MOZAMBIQUE

Zambia Red Cross Society delegation, which includes the National President, Mr Martin Ngonga, the Secretary General/CEO, Mr Cosmas Sakala, the Netherlands Red Cross Country Representative resident in Zambia, Jo-Lind Roberts-Sene, the Vice Youth President, Emmanuel Chilufya, and the National Youth Officer, Sheira Katongo, is in Maputo, Mozambique, to attend the Southern Africa Partnership of Red Cross Societies (SAPRCS) meeting.

SAPRCS, as a Red Cross regional integration body, aspires to improve collaboration and coordination among member National Societies and partners in order to develop and sustain their auxiliary role with their national governments in addressing humanitarian needs throughout the area. In the sidelines of the meeting, the Zambian team interacted with H.E Derick Livune, Zambian Ambassador Accredited to Mozambique (Centre), and engaged the Japanese Red Cross mission to deepen current cooperation between the two national Societies With the active engagement of the Zambian Delegation, we are opportunists of value addition in the mobilization and operation of the national society to enhance its influence, reach, and relevance in the country's humanitarian and development space.
