World Refugee Day, designated by the United Nations, is a global observance that honors the strength, courage, and resilience of refugees. It serves as a platform to raise awareness of the challenges they face and calls for increased global support and protection for those forced to flee their homes due to conflict, persecution, or disaster.

As part of its ongoing humanitarian mandate, ZRCS, in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Office of the Commissioner for Refugees, continues to support the Restoring Family Links (RFL) Program in refugee settlements across the country.
The RFL program plays a critical role in reconnecting families separated by conflict, natural disasters, migration and other humanitarian crises. Currently, ZRCS provides RFL services in the following locations, Mantapala Refugee Settlement in Nchelenge District, Meheba Refugee Settlement in Solwezi District and Makeni Transit Centre, in Lusaka District
Through these efforts, ZRCS remains committed to promoting dignity, restoring hope, and strengthening humanitarian protection for refugees and asylum seekers in Zambia.
